ABOUT US

Michael opened his first London shop/showroom in 1994 after living and working in New York for 4 years, and made the transition from fashion designer to interior designer. In 1998 he won the coveted Andrew Martin International Interior Designer of the Year Award, which led to interior design commissions for projects in London, New York, Connecticut, France and Mustique BVI.

1999 saw the launch of the first Michael Reeves Furniture Collection, with an extensive selection of upholstered furniture and case goods. These furniture pieces were readily integrated into the growing number of Interior Design projects, where Michael applied his design philosophy to both residential and commercial commissions.

The current Michael Reeves showroom, on Pimlico Road, showcases a selection of own-brand and bespoke furniture which is made in England, mixed with vintage and antique pieces, decorative accessories and original artworks by a selection of different artists.

Michael likes to describe his Interior Design work as “Quiet Luxury.” His neutral, chic interiors have become particularly in demand as they combine a pared-down look and tranquil palette with elegance and, above all, comfort. But though clients come to Michael Reeves for this calm contemporary look, the company excels in a range of both classic and eclectic styles, illustrating the ability to design projects in a range of alternative styles to suit clients’ diverse and discerning tastes.
